Join RPIN

The Regional Public Information Network (RPIN) was created in 2000 to enhance jurisdictional cooperation and sharing of public health, transportation and emergency information. Participating network agencies include cities, counties, and other public agencies; health care; non-profits offering emergency assistance; and regulated utilities serving residents of Snohomish, King and Pierce counties.

RPIN becomes even stronger as more agencies participate and promote the site to their constituencies. We welcome you to join us.

RPIN Member Benefits

If your agency becomes a member of RPIN, you will join a linked network of communicators throughout Central Puget Sound. Your agency can post news alerts, headlines or releases on the RPIN Web site and send messages to subscribers throughout the three-county RPIN e-alert system.

Since each news release or headline is identified by its news source and can be linked to the network agency's own Web site, partners remain in control of their own messages, which can be updated easily as news changes. Each agency retains control over what and when it publishes. By including your own URL in the RPIN posting, you can extend the reach of your breaking news and information. RPIN also serve as a back-up Web site, providing your agency added redundancy. RPIN is quick and easy to use remotely.

Expectations of RPIN Members

No fees are charged to RPIN network agencies. However members are required to make the following commitments:

  • Publish appropriately to RPIN for routine, planned or unplanned disruptions, as well as breaking news or emergency alerts.

  • Promote RPIN to your agency's audiences and stakeholders, including employees. This includes promoting your RPIN affiliation on your Web site and other pertinent outreach materials and publications.

  • Maintain tight security by guarding your password.
